Hi
Just wanted to share this with you. Today someone gave me what looked like an ancient stone age flint tool that she had found while out walking. Many people would have walked straight past it without knowing what it was. As an artist she saw this as a thing of beauty and absolute perfection. As I looked at it closely I could see what she meant. Its a wonderful piece of history. How we take some things for granted these days and I felt priviliged to be given it. A present to behold that cost nothing in material terms but everything real terms.
That is a true gift Carol for sure.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to pick up is rocks. I find their shapes, colors, and texture to be so unique that I just can't help but admire. This is a great post!
ReplyDeleteYes it certainly was. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha
ReplyDeleteThe lady that gave it too me is a terrific artist. The shape and colours were wonderful. The stone age man who made it still lives in this tool.
